After the embedding,  this is a standard (?) multi-variate interpolation and extrapolation problem---but based on scattered points around a fractal!

An appealing approach is to use  radial basis functions  to do the data-fit  (see recent publications by M.J.D. Powell) and this is the approach that I have used.

NOTE:  currently there are no methods which are sympathetic to the underlying fractal geometry.
